3rd Central German Heart Failure Symposium at Magdeburg University Hospital
Experts discuss new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for heart failure on an interdisciplinary basis
On 1 and 2 November 2024, the 3rd Central German Heart Failure Symposium in Magdeburg invites you to continue its successful series of events. With a wide-ranging programme highlighting current developments and innovative approaches to the treatment of heart failure, participants can expect an exciting exchange with renowned national and international experts. The University Clinic for Cardiology and Angiology Magdeburg , under the direction of Prof. Rüdiger C. Dullaeus, MD, and his colleague Tarek Bekfani, MD, Senior Physician and Head of the Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Clinic, as organisers and scientific directors of the symposium, warmly welcome interested specialist colleagues. The event will kick off on Friday, 1 November from 14:00 to 18:00 with an introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of severe heart failure, supplemented by two practice-oriented workshops. On Saturday, 2 November, from 08:45 to 14:30, there will be three sessions covering key aspects of cardiology. Session 1 is dedicated to ischaemic cardiomyopathy and spans the spectrum from microvascular to macrovascular coronary heart disease. Session 2 will examine current and future strategies in patient care, from drug-based to interventional approaches. The third session will focus on the various forms of cardiomyopathies.
Prof Braun-Dullaeus and Privatdozent Dr Bekfani say: "At this symposium, we will jointly address many different focal points and discuss various options for the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. We are delighted to have such high-calibre experts here. This training event is aimed at anyone who is interested in the latest scientific and clinical findings on heart failure and would like to actively participate in the dialogue in an inspiring environment."
